And that was it. I hope for two things for Montreal: I hope the Expos stay there, and I hope they continue to play in Olympic Stadium. Don't buy the bullshit about it being the worst stadium in baseball. It's not. Sure, it has a troubled history and is a bit beat up and scruffy, but at a fundamental level it's a good stadium. (It's definitely better than the Metrodome.) Some of the upper deck towards the outfield looked to be set at an awkward angle, but for the most part sight lines looked good. I know what I'm about to say is both simplistic and naive, but fix the place up, figure out a way to make the damn roof work, cram some luxury boxes in at the press box level and, if they can find some other place to hold the big conventions, plant some natural grass. And keep the place.
