WHY

Sometime near Thanksgiving of last year, a large, faceless corporation based in Eagan, Minnesota, gave its employees turkeys. In most cases the birds were consumed in short order, but not in the case of one employee. For many months the bird sat, quiet, solid and frozen, in his freezer. The employee recently moved out of his suburban home, and now shares a residence in Minneapolis. The bird, hard as a boulder and dangerous when dropped from tall buildings, made the move with him. With the shared space in the freezer becoming tighter with each frozen pizza, it became obvious something had to be done. With a new bird looming only a few months away, there was only one rational thing to do: Throw a turkey party.

A vegetarian dish will be provided for those not interested in consuming animal flesh. Some beverages will be provided, but it may be a good idea to bring your own as well.

There should be ample parking, although it may be a block away. Your best bet is to go one block north on Emerson, where people start living in really big, expensive houses and have garages so they don't have to park on the street.

As this is both Heather and Mark's first attempt at cooking a turkey, they reserve the right to order out from Pizza Lucé should the bird be deemed a complete loss.
