The CN Tower. The tower is billed as the tallest building and freestanding structure in the World. The building claim is a matter of debate, as many of the geeks who get into that kind of stuff don't consider a tower to be a building. Hence the tallest-building award would go to the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Also, the word "freestanding" is important in the second claim. That's because there are two cable-stayed broadcast towers that are taller than it, the tallest residing Poland, the second-tallest in North Dakota.
